Presence Meditation

(Joshua Tree sunrise -- nothing like it ๐Ÿงก)

Here's a simple meditation i do pretty much all the time.

  • Focus on a point in the center of your head. Let it expand to the body but really, just stay there. That does a lot on its own. Don't let anything draw you away from that.  (That's really the key -- stay there no matter what, softly)
  • Enter a pace that is as slow but attentive as a tree. Notice your thoughts, and smooth your reaction to them. Stay in the body.
  • Become your environment. Go into the magic of touch. The pure experience.
  • Invite deep, slow intentional breath
  • Invite deep, slow intentional motion
  • When feelings come, or you hit them, feel them. Notice the thoughts that come with them. Watch it all. Go into it with your focus.
Notice all the thoughts that are anticipating the future! Telling you what to do and what to be afraid of. Love the essence of being itself.

Stay there with the eyes open. Move with kindness and peace, not trying to "get somewhere"

And most importantly, be kind to yourself. Find kindness and love it. Kindness is the most important thing. From deep within.

Combine this with Wim Hof breathing and you're good to go:

I do an abridged version many times a day -- living at the top of the breath brings wonderful deep presence -- accompanied with full, deep exhales that are held at the bottom

Set time aside for this. Or just do it all the time. Sit or stand attentively and just feel... space....

Will you let me know how it goes? I'd love to help inspire as the roller coaster continues.
